Great for heel pain, not really for work outReviewed by frisky2000, 2010-03-10
The ads claiming they help tone your legs are really just hype, in my experience. Due to plantar fasciitis, I wore MBT's at work for three years, then chose these Sketchers purely on price. Neither shoe did anything at all to tone my legs, but they do relieve my lower back pain, and my heel pain, which is all I was concerned about. The choice of colors and styles in these Shape Ups are far superior to the clunky, clumsy styles of MBT's, which were 50% more expensive. I find that after wearing Shape Ups for more than five or six hours straight, my feet feel tired, as if they are weighed down with sand bags. The shoe is heavier than I'd like in all-day footwear, but I really do need the back and heel support so it's a trade off. If you wore MBTs before, you will not have any trouble adjusting to these, they have the same principle in design which requires a little getting used to at first, but once you're comfortable with the feeling of the rolling soles, you won't be aware that there is anything different about them. Though the colors and styles are nice, I would never wear Shape Ups with shorts or capris because they are just too bulky looking on a foot larger than a size 7. All around, though, a good shoe and worth the price.
Absolutely Love ThemReviewed by Mark Twain, 2010-03-07
I absolutely love my Skechers, they are the most comfortable
sneakers I own. I really feel the burn in my legs when I walk with
them. I didn't get to go to the gym this week so all I did was
40min. of walking with my Skechers 4x (I also eat right). I weighed
in and lost 3lbs. I'm totally satisfied with the quality. I also
have the Reebok Easytones which are not nearly as comfortable and I
don't feel much of a difference with those, I regret buying the
Reeboks. I just bought my 2nd pair of Skechers Shape Ups today
& consider them a great investment. I have the gray/pink ones
& now have the black ones with the white stripe. If you think
about it you pay an average of $60-$80 for a pair of sneakers
anyway so why not invest a little more money that will actually
help you in your weight loss goals. I would highly recommend these
to anyone. (This review is written by a woman's pt. of view even
though my user name is a man's name)

Takes a while to get used to, but definitely uses more of your calf muscles and hamstrings.
these are differentReviewed by Samantha Gilbert, 2010-02-25
the shipping was super fast. i love the shoe i dont get back aches when i stand anymore. my heel dosent kill me every step i take. they take a day or two to learn how to walk in them, but once you got it you are good to go. i started exercising with these it is like a double work out. i will buy more when i wear out these.
worth the moneyReviewed by Virginia Brown, 2010-02-21
I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend this much money on a pair of shoes, but I am glad that I did. I clean business and residental properties and am on my feet for long periods of time. These shoes kept my feet and legs from hurting at the end of the day. I also own a pair of Easy Spirit's that are made on the same concept, but the Skechers are much more comfortable. They are also true to size. What ever size you wear in skechers you will were in these also. If you are on your feet alot this shoe is worth the price. Hat's off to Skechers, they got this one right!
